Musto Shooting Collection:

The new Musto Shooting range seamlessly combines tradition with new Musto technology to create stylish, functional and high performing garments. This season Musto has focussed on creating technical products that are lightweight, easy to care for and durable. The Musto Macnab Shooting Jacket is a new and innovative addition for 2011. This Musto shooting jacket has the all of the features and appearance of tweed but is made of a printed fabric, significantly reducing the weight. It is quiet, windproof, waterproof, breathable and light, making it perfect for game shooting and stalking.
Firm favourites here at The Country Catalogue are the Musto Stretch Technical Tweed Breeks which offer a waterproof and windproof option for those wintery days. The Scottish wool has been given added stretch to allow full movement and the Karsten tweed pattern provides camouflage and style.
For ladies, the Musto Whisper Jacket is practical and comfortable and the lightweight Polyester synthetic suede outer has been designed to reduce noise. This high quality product has been thoughtfully finished to create a stylish jacket for both in and out of the field.

Musto Lifestyle Collection:

Musto has looked back to its origins in competitive sailing as inspiration for the Autumn Winter lifestyle collection.

Musto Heritage

Musto clothing began through Keith Musto’s passion for sailing. Keith like all true sportsmen was totally passionate about his chosen sport which happened to be sailing. He went on to win major awards including European and Olympic silver medal in Tokyo .

One strong core belief which he had that still runs through the veins of the Musto brand today is, quality outdoor clothing does help performance out in the field. Keith Musto designed the first viable Two-Piece Drysuit in 1983. After this point the 3 layered system, underwear, middlewear and outerwear for keeping dry and warm came to the fore.

For extreme weather there is nothing like the open sea in a raging gale to test the quality of clothing. If clothing works in these conditions a stroll around the countryside is a mere walk in the park! Musto Clothing performs.

The technical side of Musto

Musto Technical Tweed has been created using a single twist incorporating nylon to give a strong, robust and durable lightweight Tweed which is then Teflon coated to give waterproof qualities. It features an integrated membrane which is waterproof and breathable. All buttons and studs are covered by cloth to make them non-marking to guns.

DWR (Durable Water Resilient) Teflon Coating is used by Musto to increase water resistency and for which dry cleaning is recommended.

Polartec is renowned as the best fabric for its keeping you warm properties for the weight of the fabric. The Polartec fabric has been well cut to give a jacket, gilet and smock all with DWR finish to the outer giving excellent water repellence. These can be combined as a layered protection or on their own.
