HOGG’S CLOTHING

HOGG’S OF FIFE was founded in 1888 by Mr Hogg who was a successful boot maker for local Lairds.  

After a number of years of making quality footwear to withstand the Scottish weather, Mr Hogg was asked if he could make up the cloth for the Lairds’ tweeds worn by their employees.  The Lairds had their own tweeds as well as tartans.  This meant that the Lairds’ employees could be easily recognised.

By the early 20 Century, Mr Hogg’s business soon became unique being the only business which could dress both Gentlemen and their employees from head to foot.  To this day, Hogg’s of Fife do not advertise, all new enquiries come from word of mouth due to their fantastic value for money.

Hogg’s of Fife is still very much a family business run by the Hogg family following the marriage of Miss Hogg to Mr Robert Gibson, who is now the Managing Director.

Hogg’s of Fife work wear is renown as robust and more value for money than economy ranges and their waterproofed footwear is marketed with the phrase “take comfort from our experience”. 

Their clothing has expanded and diversified from its original state of agricultural wear into general Country Wear.  Hogg’s clothing oozes character all of its own due to its pedigree of quality and history.  How many other companies can make moleskins of their quality sourced from the UK?
